Finally! I had the time and energy to drive myself to the bakery that I used to go before I enter the university (´▽`ʃ♡ƪ)

Oh yeah, it sure bring back memories of my freedom

So first, let me reveal the name of the bakery. One of my go-to bakery is called Sweet Deli. There are many bakeries in Brunei. Every bakery has its own uniqueness. For Sweet Deli, its the sweet and soft bread that they made. You better go there and try it for yourself 👨🏻

It felt so nostalgic when I enter the bakery. The branch that I usually go to is in Batu Bersurat because its near to my house. My plan is to get the Pandan Slice cake which I always buy from them back then. But to my surprise, they have a new cake next to it. I did not remember them having this Japanese Cotton cake so I have to get them both XD. Not to mention that the price is so cheap! Pandan Cake slice is just 80 cents while the Japanese Cotton cake is only for one dollar.

So this time I will be doing double review in just one blog! This is gonna be a long one but please bare with me. I try to make it ‘not boring’ for you lovely readers hehe

Okay, it looks very simple. It has this pastel green spongy layer which is from the Pandan. On top is the brownish layer due to the heating process from the oven.

Oh my god, the cake is so fluffy!

Fluffy just like this cute baby’s cheeks. Well, look at that man. from Tenor

Let’s dig in! (* ̄;( ̄ *)

The cake is soft inside and out. You can taste the light Pandan flavour and the subtle sweetness of the cake. One thing for sure is that, it brings back my sweet memory from the past. This means that the cake is still consistent with the taste. So goodjob!

LOL! I recalled this anime called Yakitate!! Japan. It is one of the best anime ever created. Its about bread making journey of a young boy. Hold on! I am not randomly saying this anime out of the blue. It reminded me of the over-exaggerating reaction after they taste the bread. I think I experience that when I ate this Pandan Slice cake. 😂 I recommend you to watch it hehe.

Anyway, let’s give the cake a rating!

I rate it 5 out of 5 cookies

For sure the cake is something that I will go back to again in the future. I just need the time for it. Guys~ let go to the next one!

Japanese Cotton cake

A different view of the cake. Taken with you know what :P

Visually, it looks the same with the Pandan Slice cake, fluffy and soft. When you touch the cake, it has a slight difference in terms of texture. It feels very moisty and sticky.

Pressing the cake with my spoon!

The obvious difference is the colour which is soft yellow. I assume it is from the use of Cheese. I am not hundred percent sure until I taste it. I have this stereotype, where, the word of Japanese on cakes or desserts indicate the presence of Cheese 🤷🏻‍♂️

Time for the taste! I am correct guys! It sure is Cheese haha. The flavour is not that strong and there is a light sweetness aftertaste. It is very moisty just like what it seems and it melts easily when you consume it. I think I need to buy more of these because cheese is love, cheese is life

Oh yes! from Tenor

We are at our last phase which is to give a score 😉

I rate the cake 5 out of 5 cookies 🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪

Wew, its a full score for this one too! I am not being kind here but it is what it is ☜(゚ヮ゚☜)

Thank you for such a wonderful tasting experience Sweet Deli. #NotSponsored hehe

I am also wanted to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for reading this duo desserts review. I give you 5- no, make it 10 out of 5 cookies! You guys deserve it too because you finished reading this ‘longer than the usual’ blog!

Perfect score from Tenor

I wanna cry because this is where we say goodbye~ Oh my, look at that spontenous rythm! 😎🧐 Am I a lyricist? HAHA!

Okie, see you all again folks! 👋🏼
